Workshop Section 7: Local Politics

We lead a discussion about what things are happening in the area, that people are not happy about.

This could be a problem with rubbish, pavements, or anti-social behaviour.

We then talk about contacting your local councillor, MP or council to get these things changed.

We remind them that councillors and MPs want your vote and should listen to you.

If you have invited a politician to your workshop, now is a good time to tell them what things are going wrong in your area.

Sometimes we write a letter with the group about the problems in the area which they can send to their local politicians.
